More Markers

I used my markers to color right onto my stamp to get the double colors on the flowers. I blended them together so there was not such a harsh line as the colors changed. This is another case from the new catalog using some stamps that I already have. I can't wait to get some of the new stamps though! I already know what my first purchase will be! As soon as I get it, I will post! So stay tuned for that!
For now, please enjoy the cards I am making with the stamps sets that I already have.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! And until next time,

FINALLY FINISHED

If you have been following my blog for any length of time, you know that I have been working on sample cards for Sherrill Graff. It has been a huge honor to be chosen to do this. There are so many talented stampers out there and to be chosen from among them is really very humbling to me!
This project has challenged me and made me go way outside of my comfort zone.
Tuesday, I finally completed the task of making 60 sample cards! Yes, that's right, I said SIXTY cards! Many of them are my own design but a few of them have been cards that I have seen in the catalog or on other blogs and have modified to make them my own. Lets face it... coming up with that many different cards is a challenge to say the least. I have really enjoyed making each and every one of these cards. It was sorta like finishing a really good book. You feel a sense of accomplishment but at the same time, its a little bit sad. Almost like saying goodbye to a companion! These cards have been sitting in mini magazine holders on my china hutch since I started this little journey and I have watched them grow and grow.
I mailed my little creations to their new home on Wednesday but like any good mother, I took lots of pictures first! LOL. So, in these pictures, you are seeing 60 cards! I hope their new owner enjoys them as much as I did!
Thanks again to Sherrill Graff for this awesome opportunity! It's one that I wont be forgetting any time soon!

Until next time,

Live with Passion

I have my new catalog and have poured through it several times. Oh my is it going to be fun ordering lots of new stuff... but oh my is it going to cost me! HA!
So, what I thought I would do is go through and find some cards that I could reproduce with sets that I already have. This is one of them. When you look in the catalog, you will see a card that looks very similar to this but its not exactly the same. I did change it a bit. For the flower on this card, I used my markers right on the stamp. I blended them together slightly where they meet so there wasn't such a harsh line. I'm very happy with how this card turned out and will definitely be making more of them. It was fun and easy and still looks very nice.
Until Next time!

Color Inspiration card

I am happy to say that this stamp set (Branch out) is not retiring! It is however going to be on the dormant list! Anyway, I made this card using the colors from Kristina Warner's color inspiration on her blog! I hope you enjoy it!

This is the color swatch we had to use. I hope you can see all the colors in my card!

Thinking of you

I was playing around with this stamp set called "Branch Out" (113200)
And I just love how it came out. Lots of different shades of green and pink in this one! I also used the large oval punch and scallop oval punch from the mini catalog. I sure hope all these things find their way into the new catalog next month! It would really be a shame to lose this set!
Until next time friends,

It's been a while

I know! It's been a while since my last blog post!

Because you had to wait so

long for a new post, I

thought that I would share FOUR cards that I have made recently! Aren't they

adorable! They are from the level 3 hostess

set called "Hand Drawn Bundle" It uses the designer series paper pack and the rub-ons. I did not use the actual stamp set on these cards. But I sure did have fun with the rub-ons and my scallop border punch and white satin ribbon!

One thing that I love is Stampin' Up's wonderful ribbons! They are so luscious! I use it all the time! If you have never tried their ribbon before, you will want to try it! You will be hooked just like me!

If you would like to earn this hostess bundle, you will have to hurry. It goes away at the end of this month! But don't be sad, it goes away to make room for new stamp sets. And trust me, I have had a sneak peak! They are great!

If you are in my area and would like the chance to earn some free stamps and accessories, call or email me today!

Until next time friends...

Thank you!

This is a very simple, quick card. But it has such an impact!

I stamped in white craft ink directly onto the designer series paper and

used white embossing powder to emboss the image. What a striking effect

I got! I have always been afraid to use my designer series papers ... I'm not sure why but lately, I have been overcoming my fear and using them!
I have thoroughly enjoyed paper piecing and am enjoying embossing on the designer series paper as well. For this card, I used Manchester Designer series paper(112464), Craft Card stock(102125) and Whisper white card stock (106730).

The set I used is Upsy Daisy(111710) and I finished it off with some Chocolate chip taffeta ribbon (109065) and white slingo unibal gel pen (105021)

Please leave a comment or email me if you have any questions about this card!

Until next time,

Bon Apetit!

For my stamp club meeting this month, everyone was supposed to make a birthday card. This is the card that I came up with! I paper pieced his clothing and hat and then stamped the birthday cake on a slider and topped it with the dome for the plate. This is my first attempt using this set but I am sure it will not be my last! He is so cute and there are so many different outfits you can put on him depending on which paper you use. Then name of the set is Voila' (115102) I used Riding
hood red and so saffron card stock along with whisper white. For his "outfit" I used Designer series paper, Washington apple. (112461) I also used 1/2 inch striped so saffron ribbon. (113699) I hope you enjoy looking at this card as much as I did making it! I loved to play paper dolls when I was a little girl and now as a big girl, I can play again!

Happy stamping and until next time...
