Christmas Jingle

There is a gorgeous scrapbooking kit in the current catalog called "Christmas Jingle". Now most people would use it for what it was intended.. scrapbooking. But if you know me, you know that I am not most people. LOL

I am not a scrapbooker. As much as I love what I have seen others do, I just am not able to put it together myself. So I do the next best thing... I make cards out of the scrapbook kits! Here are a few of the cards that I made with this kit. I made 9 or 10 cards and still have plenty of left overs to make at least that many more. I will post more pictures on my blog tomorrow.

Have a happy stamping day and

As Promised!

I know, I know.. you can't believe it! But yes, two days in a row!

This is the card that I did with my club members on Tuesday. It was the inspiration for

the birthday card that I posted yesterday. It really is a fun card to make and lends its self to

so many different occasions! And EASY! This is a very simple card to make but the results are

fabulous!
Until next time....

Birthday card

Here I sit on this very dreary friday trying to post to my blog for the first time in a month!

I'm having a little trouble concentrating and keeping my eyes open. No, it is not because I am bored with what I am doing or because I didn't sleep well last night. It is because the little boy I babysit is sleeping in the bed right behind me and is snoring up a storm and right beside me on the floor is my dog snoring too! How am I supposed to get any work done with all this sleep noise? HAHA!

In a few minutes, I will be going to have lunch with a very dear friend of mine to celebrate her birthday. I thought that I would share the birthday card I made for her.

I really love this card and made a Christmas card in the same style which I will be sharing with you tomorrow.. yes, that's right, I said tomorrow... two posts in two days... hang on to your hats folks! lol

This is what I think is called a pocket card. The tab on the side is the inner card and you will see that in the second picture. I had a lot of fun making this card.. I have been wanting to make a card with this set forever and just have not been able to come up with a design I liked. But this turned out super sweet (no pun intended.. lol). The funny thing is... my friend is making cupcakes for her in laws anniversary party next month... like 150 of them... so I thought this would be most appropriate for her! Enjoy the card.. I sure hope my friend does.

See you tomorrow and until then,

Double Time Stamping

I wanted to share some very exciting news with you! I was asked to be a guest speaker at our local new comers group. I was able to share what I love with about 50 women! And it seems that the women really enjoyed my demonstration. It was a bit difficult for me to go that far out of my comfort zone and stand in front of so many people but many of the ladies came up to me afterwards and said how well I had done and how much they enjoyed my presentation. Several even gave me their names and phone numbers to call them! How exciting is that for someone who is trying to build a business! So this is what I shared with the ladies. It is a double time stamped portfolio and six cards/envelopes to go in it. So fast and easy and fun. I hope to do a video on this soon so be watching for that! Until then, enjoy the pictures.

Until next time,

You Rock!

Each month, my club girls make a swap card. This is my way of getting them to use their goodies that they buy each month! For the next club, the theme is Halloween! Believe it or not, I got an early jump on my card and this is what I came up with. I got to use lots of extra tools on this one. I used the white gel pen to out line the card and add a little extra umph.. I also used the circle scissors plus to cut out the pumpkin pie circle which I attached to the card and then cut the remaining piece off. I also got to use some of my two way glue pen and dazzling diamonds to give him a little extra bling on his tooth!
My favorite time of the year is coming up! October starts all the fun for me. I love Halloween and Thanksgiving and of course... who doesn't love Christmas! I love the crispness in the air and the smell of leaves that have fallen on the ground. It seems that when fall comes around, I light my scented candles more and feel more like baking. I really love something about every season but if I had to pick a favorite.. it would definitely be Autumn! So, enjoy this card and until next time....

WOW!!!

Well, it has been quite a while since my last post. I must apologize!

I have missed posting every day and hope to be back to that soon. But for now.. I have a couple of projects that I will be sharing with you over the next few days!

So without any further delay... lets get to todays sample!

Black and White Rose. For stamp club this past month, our theme was Black and White. This is the card that I came up with using that color scheme. I used the set Fifth Avenue Floral which has become one of my favorite sets. It is so versitile and just plain pretty!

Enjoy and I will see you again tomorrow with a new card!

Christmas In July

A dear friend of mine asked me to do a Christmas in July workshop for her. She asked me to use my Big Shot (item # 113439)and show the ladies some things that you could do with it. So I came up with this little bag topper. I was able to showcase the level 2 hostess set "Christmas Punch", The "Top note" Die (item # 113463) and two punches, The Scallop Oval (item # 114889) and The Wide oval (item # 112082). To finish the bag up, I tied some 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon (item # 109052) around the top and sponged the edges with real red ink. The swirls on the bag are from the set "Baroque Motifs" (item # 113490).

Please feel free to visit my business website if you would like to have your own workshop or if you would like to purchase any of the products that I mentioned here.
Have a wonderful day and until next time,

Club project for July 7th

Recently two of my friends have sent me flower pot cards in the mail. This got me thinking! Maybe I should try one of these flower pot cards myself! So, here is the end product of my experimenting. This is the card that my girls at club will be making tonight. I had to wait to post this because I like for the projects to be somewhat of a surprise for the group. There is lots of cutting

to make one of these cards but they really do turn out nicely. I had more fun making this card than I thought I would!

This is what the card looks like when you pull the inside of the card out! How cute is this!

Email me or leave a comment if you have any questions about the card!

Until next time....

Happy Birthday Wendy

Last night we celebrated my friend Wendy's birthday! This is the card that I made for her. I was out there looking around and I came across a blog with what is called the Faux Linen look. So I thought I would try it. I don't know if you can see it in these pictures or not but in person, it turned out really nicely! I will definitely be making some more of this type card in the future! Enjoy!

Until next time....

More Markers

I used my markers to color right onto my stamp to get the double colors on the flowers. I blended them together so there was not such a harsh line as the colors changed. This is another case from the new catalog using some stamps that I already have. I can't wait to get some of the new stamps though! I already know what my first purchase will be! As soon as I get it, I will post! So stay tuned for that!
For now, please enjoy the cards I am making with the stamps sets that I already have.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! And until next time,

FINALLY FINISHED

If you have been following my blog for any length of time, you know that I have been working on sample cards for Sherrill Graff. It has been a huge honor to be chosen to do this. There are so many talented stampers out there and to be chosen from among them is really very humbling to me!
This project has challenged me and made me go way outside of my comfort zone.
Tuesday, I finally completed the task of making 60 sample cards! Yes, that's right, I said SIXTY cards! Many of them are my own design but a few of them have been cards that I have seen in the catalog or on other blogs and have modified to make them my own. Lets face it... coming up with that many different cards is a challenge to say the least. I have really enjoyed making each and every one of these cards. It was sorta like finishing a really good book. You feel a sense of accomplishment but at the same time, its a little bit sad. Almost like saying goodbye to a companion! These cards have been sitting in mini magazine holders on my china hutch since I started this little journey and I have watched them grow and grow.
I mailed my little creations to their new home on Wednesday but like any good mother, I took lots of pictures first! LOL. So, in these pictures, you are seeing 60 cards! I hope their new owner enjoys them as much as I did!
Thanks again to Sherrill Graff for this awesome opportunity! It's one that I wont be forgetting any time soon!

Until next time,

Live with Passion

I have my new catalog and have poured through it several times. Oh my is it going to be fun ordering lots of new stuff... but oh my is it going to cost me! HA!
So, what I thought I would do is go through and find some cards that I could reproduce with sets that I already have. This is one of them. When you look in the catalog, you will see a card that looks very similar to this but its not exactly the same. I did change it a bit. For the flower on this card, I used my markers right on the stamp. I blended them together slightly where they meet so there wasn't such a harsh line. I'm very happy with how this card turned out and will definitely be making more of them. It was fun and easy and still looks very nice.
Until Next time!

Color Inspiration card

I am happy to say that this stamp set (Branch out) is not retiring! It is however going to be on the dormant list! Anyway, I made this card using the colors from Kristina Warner's color inspiration on her blog! I hope you enjoy it!

This is the color swatch we had to use. I hope you can see all the colors in my card!

Thinking of you

I was playing around with this stamp set called "Branch Out" (113200)
And I just love how it came out. Lots of different shades of green and pink in this one! I also used the large oval punch and scallop oval punch from the mini catalog. I sure hope all these things find their way into the new catalog next month! It would really be a shame to lose this set!
Until next time friends,

It's been a while

I know! It's been a while since my last blog post!

Because you had to wait so

long for a new post, I

thought that I would share FOUR cards that I have made recently! Aren't they

adorable! They are from the level 3 hostess

set called "Hand Drawn Bundle" It uses the designer series paper pack and the rub-ons. I did not use the actual stamp set on these cards. But I sure did have fun with the rub-ons and my scallop border punch and white satin ribbon!

One thing that I love is Stampin' Up's wonderful ribbons! They are so luscious! I use it all the time! If you have never tried their ribbon before, you will want to try it! You will be hooked just like me!

If you would like to earn this hostess bundle, you will have to hurry. It goes away at the end of this month! But don't be sad, it goes away to make room for new stamp sets. And trust me, I have had a sneak peak! They are great!

If you are in my area and would like the chance to earn some free stamps and accessories, call or email me today!

Until next time friends...

Thank you!

This is a very simple, quick card. But it has such an impact!

I stamped in white craft ink directly onto the designer series paper and

used white embossing powder to emboss the image. What a striking effect

I got! I have always been afraid to use my designer series papers ... I'm not sure why but lately, I have been overcoming my fear and using them!
I have thoroughly enjoyed paper piecing and am enjoying embossing on the designer series paper as well. For this card, I used Manchester Designer series paper(112464), Craft Card stock(102125) and Whisper white card stock (106730).

The set I used is Upsy Daisy(111710) and I finished it off with some Chocolate chip taffeta ribbon (109065) and white slingo unibal gel pen (105021)

Please leave a comment or email me if you have any questions about this card!

Until next time,

GO GET YOUR FINGERS INKY!

Bon Apetit!

For my stamp club meeting this month, everyone was supposed to make a birthday card. This is the card that I came up with! I paper pieced his clothing and hat and then stamped the birthday cake on a slider and topped it with the dome for the plate. This is my first attempt using this set but I am sure it will not be my last! He is so cute and there are so many different outfits you can put on him depending on which paper you use. Then name of the set is Voila' (115102) I used Riding
hood red and so saffron card stock along with whisper white. For his "outfit" I used Designer series paper, Washington apple. (112461) I also used 1/2 inch striped so saffron ribbon. (113699) I hope you enjoy looking at this card as much as I did making it! I loved to play paper dolls when I was a little girl and now as a big girl, I can play again!

Happy stamping and until next time...

Stamp Till You Cramp!

About four times a year I do what I call a Stamp till you cramp! This is an all day event that my customers come to and create create create! I provide projects for them to do , give them thank you gifts and hand out lots and lots of door prizes!

These are some pictures from my May Stamp Till you cramp that took place May 30th! This is the project they worked on. Its an adorable card sized magazine holder and three cards to go in it.

Everyone had a great time hanging out with their friends and working at their own pace. It's a great place to learn some new techniques, get creative and just plain have fun!
These are the kits all put together for everyone.

This is one of the thank you
gifts that I gave all my girls. They are little coaster notebooks I made with some of the designer series paper from this past sale a bration! I used the alphabet set Lovely letters (115030) to put each ladies initial on the cover. Just a little personal touch!

These are little double-sided candy boxes that I made and filled with chocolates! You can't have a stamp till you cramp without chocolate! I used designer series paper from the level three hostess set Hand drawn Bundle to cover the outside of the box and used the set Oval All (113790) and Scallop oval Punch (114889) both from the occasions mini catalog to finish the boxes off. I also used the wide oval punch (112082) to make the handle of the box.
Next are the name badges.

I make a different name badge for each Stamp till you cramp! I try to use a set on the badges that will be used on the project. Aren't they cute!

I love to spoil my customers. All my ladies are soo sweet and I just love them all! I have made some very dear friends through Stampin' Up! If I never make another dollar, it has been worth it just for the relationships that I have built! Ok, enough with the mushyness... enjoy the rest of the pictures.. they are of the ladies having fun and doing their projects!

My next Stamp till you cramp will be in July. Christmas In July! Christmas cards, Christmas music, Christmas Cookies... And lots and lots of fun! So if your in my area and think you would like to come... let me know! I would love to have you!
Until next time...

Happy Memorial day!

Before I get to the main part of my post, I want to take a moment to thank all of the men and woman who have served our country. Without the service of these brave men and woman, we would not have the freedoms we have today. So thank you! Job well done!

Wow! Shame on me! I have not updated my blog in a whole week! Well, it is time to remedy that. So, these are a couple of cards I have been working on this week. They are simple cute little cards that I made using the Pun Fun (115054) stamp set.

All the cards are very similar in style but have different elements to them. It was fun to make some quick simple cards for a change. I think that sometimes I get caught up in trying to make bigger and better things and forget to just plain have fun! So that is what I did with these cards.. I had fun! So, enjoy and if you have any questions about any of the card, please leave a comment or email me and I will be sure to get back with you ASAP with an answer! Have a great day and until next time....
