Just Ducky!

OK, so when I saw this set, Wagon full of fun (113262) in the mini catalog, I thought, I like it but not enough to purchase it! Boy was I wrong! I am loving this set. It's funny that the one stamp that I thought I would like the most in the set hasn't even been inked up yet!
Don't worry, it will.... IT WILL! lol
So, on latenightstampers they post
a creative challenge. This week it is winged things. I thought I didn't own any bird stamps and then I realized... ducks have wings! So here is my entry for this weeks challenge!
What a great way to get the creative juices flowing!
I'm so happy that I am a part of that group... and
if you would like to join and get inspired too, just click on the owl icon over on the left side of the blog! Anyway, enjoy my card and as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me or leave a comment. I will be happy to answer you!
Until tomorrow... GO GET YOUR FINGERS INKY!

Another Rooster!

Remember I told you a while back that I was hired by Sherrill Graff to make some samples? Well, over the next few weeks you will be seeing those samples posted here on my blog. Several have already been posted and today's post is also in that group! This card also follows the color challenge over at KWarner Designs. I like the rooster in this set. It is so not my typical style of stamping but I am enjoying it. The set is called Rustic Rooster and is a level 2 hostess set. If you would like the opportunity to earn this set, please email me and we will talk!

Until tomorrow.... GO GET YOUR FINGERS INKY!

Golden oldies take two!

Oh my gosh, I am having a blast with this set! These "Golden oldies"(113712) people are sooo adorable and I am loving Paper Piecing them! The paper from Raspberry Tart Designer series paper (113975) lends itself perfectly for this. I think I have seen that pattern on a chair in my husbands Maw Maws house years ago! ha! And the new Eyelet border punch (113692) and 3/8 Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon (109070) adds just the perfect touch to Grandmas card! If you would like to order this set, it will be available April 1st. on my website!
Have a great weekend... spend some time GETTING YOUR FINGERS INKY!

My first Color Challenge!

Kristina Warner hosts a color challenge every week on her blog and I have always enjoyed looking at the selections! Well, this week I got courageous enough to tackle it myself! So these are the colors we had to work with and I thought, RUSTIC ROOSTER (level 2 hostess set) would be the perfect stamp set to use for these colors! This is what I came up with. I hope you like it and would love to hear your comments on it!

Enjoy the rest of your Friday and get the weekend started by going and GETTING YOUR FINGERS INKY!

A Giggle for the day

So I saw this set in the Stampin' UP! Mini catalog and I just knew I had to have it!

I was playing with it this morning and as I was putting the card together, I just started to giggle! This little ole man is soo adorable. I could just pinch him!

I decided he needed some colorful clothes so I paper pieced his shorts and shirt using Manchester Designer series paper. (112464) I also used Kraft card stock ((102125)

for the main card and Baja Breeze (111352) for the layer. I added some Hodgepodge Hardware ( 111325) and Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon (111375) to finish off this card.

Please leave a comment or send me an email if you have any questions about the card or anything else on my blog. Thanks for looking, NOW GO GET YOUR FINGERS INKY!!!

You Crack Me Up!

This card is for my friend... she is such a nut! She took a picture of herself with my cell phone and put it up as my wall paper on the phone. Guess what, I don't know how to change it! lol I'm sure if I messed with it long enough, I could figure it out. So, I was sitting in line waiting to pick my son up from school and I snapped a shot of myself with the phone and sent it to her phone. I told her that I didn't want her to feel left out... I had a picture of her... I wanted her to have one of me too. lol So I thought this card would be more than appropriate for her. I used the stamp set Animal Crackers (113395) and our new luscious White Satin Ribbon (114616).

The card is cut 6x6 and folded at 2 and 3/4 inches and then I added the whisper white scallop at the bottom to make the finished card 3 1/4 x 6 inches. It will now fit in a regular postal envelope.

I hope you like it! If you are enjoying my blog, please leave a comment and let me know. I love to hear from you!

Now, GO GET YOUR FINGERS INKY!

Mellow Monday

I thought that I would start the week off with this very simple note card.

I water colored the flower pot from Wagon full of fun (113262)

and pop dotted it onto a little note card from
Note of Thanks Mini note kit (116209).

I cut about 1/4 inch off the side and mounted a strip of

Delicate Dots DSP from the Sale a Bration catalog. Then I used the scallop punch to finish it off. It's a quick cute little card to attach to a little thank you gift.
Until tomorrow.... GO GET YOUR FINGERS INKY!

Punch Storage

Happy Sunday everyone!

I just wanted to share with you really quickly how I store my

punches! I used to keep them in a drawer but I was

constantly trying to sort through them to find what I needed.

Then one day, I was at the store and I saw this hanging shoe

bag.

Well, I thought... wow! That would be perfect. It's see

through and I can hang in inside my craft closet so it doesn't

take up any shelf room! See I don't actually have a

craft room... I have a craft closet. lol SO I have to find ways

to store my goodies that take up as little space as possible.

So there you have it.. this is how I store them. The problem

is I am running out of space in the caddy. I can fit two large

punches in each pocket. So if SU comes out with many more

punches, I don't know what I am going to do. lol

Ok, Until next time friends... GO GET YOUR FINGERS INKY!

Wendy's Wing

Happy Saturday everyone!

So last night I had some friends over and we were sitting at my dining room table stamping together. I thought I would play with my new set "Wagon Full of Fun" (113262) from the upcoming mini catalog. I thought I would make a simple little card "real quick". HA! Real quick turned into hours of agonizing over how to finish the adorable little duck that I had water colored. I stamped the duck on water color paper (105019) and used the pencils (101897) and Blender pens (102845) to color "Wendy" . Yes, I named the duck Wendy. Why did I name the duck Wendy you ask.... well, Wendy is one of my friends that was at my house last night and it was her suggestion that I pop up the wing on my duck. So in honor of her suggestion, I named the duck after her. LOL Stop over and visit Wendy's blog when you get the chance!

Nothing I did with the duck after she was colored seemed to make me happy. So for hours, I did things and changed it... added stuff and then took it away. Finally I decided I had to go to bed... my friends had been long gone and I was just not seeing strait any more! The more I tried to finish the card, the less I liked it. So I figured I would have some fresh eyes in the morning.

Well, this is the final product. It's still a "simple" card that can be easily
reproduced.
But the journey to get to the end of this simple card was anything but easy! I hope you enjoy it. I would love to see what you do with this set.
Please leave me a comment with your blog address so I can come take a peek at what you are doing with "Wendy" and her friends from this set.

Please contact me if you have any questions on anything I did with the card.
Thanks for looking today and until next time.... GO GET YOUR FINGERS INKY!

Sherrill Graff

Do you know who she is? Well, I have heard her described as the Princess of Stampin' Up!
She is a direct downline of Shelli Gardner, our fearless leader! Why am I telling you this? Well, because I am excited and honored to share with you that she has hired ME, that's right ME to make samples for her. In a million years, I would never have expected her to chose me but she did and I am just thrilled! Sherrill runs a group called Latenightstampersconvention2008. It is a wonderful supportive group of woman who are willing and eager to help anyone in need! I'm proud to say that I am a part of that group and was a featured artist on the sites blog! Let's Sale A Brate!

So yesterday, I showed you the card and present for my friend. Well, there is more to the story!

There are five of us that get together once a month and go out for dinner. When it is a birthday month we celebrate that persons birthday. I usually make a cake and we all give gifts. So I asked my friend what kind of cake she would like. She asked me if I minded making brownies instead. I said sure! What kind? Just plain. You don't want any nuts or peanut butter or caramel? Nope, just plain. So I said... easy... I can do that! Well, later I was watching TV and was switching through the channels when I came across the food network and Paula Dean! She was making a banana split brownie. I just KNEW I had to make it! But my friend wanted a plain brownie. What to do? What to do? I know... I will make the banana split brownie AND a plain brownie! Best of both worlds! So I made a small brownie in the small bar pan from pampered chef. And then the big banana split brownie. I wrapped her small brownie in foil to keep it fresh and I got to looking at it.... it looked like a giant candy bar! lol So I thought, I have decorated regular candy bars... why not decorate this giant brownie! And that is how this brownie came to look like a candy bar. Now, I hope she doesn't mind me telling this part of the story... and I have deliberately kept her name out of the story so I wont embarrass her. But when it came time to have the brownie... I gave her the "candy bar" brownie and then opened the cake taker with the banana split brownie.. I said, the plain brownie is for you and this is for the rest of us. The look on her face was priceless! Bless her heart. lol Don't worry... I shared the brownie with her and even sent the rest of it home with her so she and her hubby could enjoy it!

Happy birthday my friend! And many more to come!
Just about everything used on this project is from Sale a bration. It's not too late for you to get in on this great Deal.. remember for every $50.00 your spend in the catalog, you get to chose 1 sale a bration item. Take advantage of this great deal while you can! What I have been waiting for!

WOW! I have been waiting all day long for the man in brown to show up at my door. Last week, he made a delivery to me early and I asked him if he was going to be my regular driver. He said he was and then I asked him if he would be delivering this early from now on and he said yes!

You see, my last man in brown didn't deliver to my

house till after 8pm sometimes. And when your

waiting on stamping goodies... well, that's like waiting

for Christmas when your four! So I was very anxious

all day today. Expecting to see my guy around 2 pm

again. Well, 2 rolled around and no brown truck,

3 rolled around, 4 rolled around, 5 rolled around and

still nothing... finally at 5:45 the brown truck showed

up in my driveway! I was soooo excited. I had a huge

order coming and even though the majority of it was

not mine, I still was so excited! So I opened all the

boxes and got everything out and spread it out ready

to be packaged up and it hit me! WOW, this is a lot of

stuff and now I am totally over whelmed! So I called

my friend and she came over and helped me sort

through it all and package it all up! But I thought I

would share some pictures with you of all the goodies

that came. ONE of which is MY big shot! WOO HOO!

I'm totally excited about that item! So enjoy the pictures..

my living room looks like a tornado rolled through it. LOL

Just buzzin by to say HI!

Happy Saturday! You know, it seems like it just takes sooo long for the weekend to get here and then before you know it, you blink and its over!

Oh well... no use complaining about it right?
So here is a little card I did using the Just buzzin by stamp set from Stampin' Up!
I water colored the hive and the honey pots. I love using the
water color pencils and blender pens . I always get such a nice effect with them.
Even if you are not an artist... you sure can look like you are! I also stamped the image onto designer series paper and cut it out and popped it up for a little bit of added interest.
Such a cute set!

Circle Scissor Plus Part 2 making the card

Here is the second video. This one shows how the Birthday card was made.
Enjoy...
Now go get YOUR fingers inky!

Circle Scissors Plus video

OK, as promised, here it is! The video on using the circle scissors plus. When I recorded this video yesterday, I went from showing how to use the tool right into making the card... well my camera battery died and I had to switch over to the power cord. When I restarted the video, I was flustered and goofed up some. I know I said that I wasn't going to redo the video but after watching it, I decided that it probably would be a good idea to go ahead and redo it. So that's what I did. So you get TWO videos today. In the first one, I show how to use the Circle scissors and it ends rather abruptly. In the second, I demonstrate the card. So with out further ado, enjoy the videos!

Happy Birthday Card

Well, I spent the morning pulling things together to do my video that I have been promising you. And I finished it. Not without a few bumps in the road though. lol Right in the middle of it, my camera battery died! So I had to go find the charger. Found it and started it back up and don't you know, my cutter wouldn't cut through two layers of card stock! Talk about blooper city! But I just kept going and hopefully, no one will be too upset with the out come. I have to wait for my hubby to come home tonight to upload it to the computer for me and I think that I will split it and make it two video's because it was just a bit longer than I wanted it to be. So, you will get to see the video tomorrow HOPEFULLY! lol But for now, here is the finished card that you will be seeing made in the video. My main purpose of the video was to show you the circle scissors plus so the card is kinda simple but right now, at this point in the week, I need things to be simple. LOL!!!

Humpday!

Oh my goodness what a day it was today! I will be glad when it is over!

I have been working on making a video and had hoped to have it up tonight but as you can see, that is not going to happen. So, hopefully, I will get it done and up by the weekend. Don't write me off, its coming! lol

So instead of the video, I thought I would share another divided box that I made. My family and I love to go camping and when I saw the "Under the stars" stamp set, I knew I had to have it. But then, I didn't know what to do with it. lol Well, I came up with an idea to make a camping survival kit! That's right, its a SMORES kit!

There are graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows and even handy wipes for clean up afterward. Now if I get lost in the woods, I will be well prepared!

Now, go get your fingers inky!

Circle Scissors Plus

Good evening everyone. What a beautiful day it was here in South Carolina today!
And to make the day even better, Mr. Brown came to visit today and brought me a box with a new goodie in it! The circle scissors plus. Now, I have just started playing with it and it takes a little getting used to but it cuts like butta! OK, so not so good at the New York accent. I will leave that to my friend Lucille. lol I guess I don't have any new pictures to share or projects to show you today so I will end this post here. See you tomorrow!

Covered scratchpad

Happy Monday everyone!

So this past Saturday I was visiting with my mom. Telling her about my Stamp till you cramp and all the fun we had. She was very interested in everything I was telling her so I thought I would make her a little goodie! This is a covered scratch pad. It looks like a card but there is truly a scratch pad in there. HA!

I used the following Sale a bration items: stamp set Polka Dot Punches, Delicate Dots Designer series paper and the ribbon bundle. I also used the new Eyelet border punch from the spring summer catalog.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!

Just Buzzin By

Happy Sunday everyone! It is a beautiful day here in South Carolina. It's hard to believe that less than a week ago we were covered by 4 inches of snow and now it is 75 degrees out there!

So for today's post, I thought that I would share a card that I made for a winged thing swap I joined. It is a fairly simple card but turned out cute. I used some of the Designer Series paper and ribbon from the Sale a Bration selections. I'm also loving the craft paper right now. It's one of my new favorite things from Stampin' Up! It's not new to the catalog but it is new to me. So, enjoy the pictures and have a wonderful Sunday!

Divided box

This is the project that my ladies completed at my last Stamp Till you Cramp!

We had a great time. It was raining out side but we didnt care! Inside we were warm and dry and stamping up our own storms!

I can't believe it!

Well, here goes nothing! I have spent months looking at every ones blogs and have resisted starting one of my own. I finally gave in today and decided to at least give it a try. So be patient with me as I try to muddle through starting and maintaining my blog.
What I hope to do is share projects that I am working on, upcoming stamping events and an occasional video tutorial. I won't promise to post every day but I sure will try to keep new and exciting things on here.
